I’ve created artworks for non-fiction as well as fiction books, and many paintings intended for private homes or art gallery walls. Whether it’s a book illustration or a canvas to be hung on a wall, I make no distinction between which has greater artistic merit, and which hasn’t. Similarly I don’t make distinctions between the artistic worth of narrative, representational or abstract art – it’s all visual arts.
